Pretty much what it says in the title: why it's always good to do a test of a new pattern before you commit yourself to a sewing project, featuring my malformed first try at a new style My Little Pony.
I've been making patterns for about 12 years now, and I STILL need to test them first - there's no shame in failing if you learn from your failures.

yeah, my costume instructor is always beating us over the head with "make a muslin first, dammit!" so i can't imagine trying to sew a pattern in one go anymore! thanks for sharing this. i love your plushies and it's good to know that even people i admire make a lot of mistakes too
