The skoffin is a mythological Icelandic creature (which looks like it was invented by furries) that is the offspring of a female cat and a male fox - the inverse is the skuggabaldr, which has a fox mother and a feline father. Or, according to who you're referencing, the skoffin, skuggabaldr and Utharkottr are produced by a cat mother/fox father and a tomcat and a vixen mix to make a finngalkn. Skoffins are supposed to have a paralyzing gaze similar to a basilisk or Medusa and to be very dangerous, as they inherit the cat's lack of fear of humans.
Obviously this sort of thing isn't really possible, but it is interesting that crosses with wild canids and domestic dogs are dangerous for exactly this reason: it's impossible to predict what mix of feral instinct they inherit, and they tend to lack any sort of fear (or respect) of humans).
Anyways, I've been cleaning out my hard drive and this was an old photo montage that I never did anything with, so here it is.
