Description
Some ideas for the contest is running. Note: I haven't seen Skull Island yet and this is super sketchy and will probably discarded when I finish it.
This skullcrawler descends from a small, anurognathus-like pterosaur that lived in caves, bat-style, and eventually became a full troglodyte. It lost the power of flight, instead adapting its forelimbs into powerful climbing and digging limbs which it can also walk on. The degenerate little hindlegs are still capable of rasping and can even support it tripod-style for brief periods. Without needing to remain small and rigid for flight, the torso has become long and muscular, almost snake-like. In the geothermally heated caves, its furlike covering has become tough pangolin-style plates.

Personally i like to think the skullcrawlers could be very basal caecilians
Considering their underground nature and bad eyesight
